It serves as the bridge between learning green knowledge and skills and finding real job opportunities in the green economy. \nThe October 2026 Green Career Fair is the first public event under the GreenPath programme. It will bring together young people and professionals from key green sectors in Ghana\, including renewable energy\, environmental policy\, sustainable agriculture\, climate finance\, coastal resource management\, and green construction. \nDuring the event\, GROW-GREEN will officially launch its 6-month mentorship programme\, which will match motivated youth with experienced professionals who volunteer their time to guide and support the next generation. \nOctober was carefully chosen because it marks the start of the final school term in Ghana\, an important time when many final-year students and graduates are making career decisions about their future. 🌱 \n\nWHO CAN ATTEND\nThis programme is open to: \n\nUniversity students and graduates\nTVET graduates\nRecent school leavers\nYoung professionals aged 18–30 who are interested in careers in the green economy\n\nGraduates of the GreenSpark programme and alumni of the GreenMinds programme are especially encouraged to attend\, as this event is the natural next step in the GROW-GREEN journey. \nWe aim to ensure at least 50% female participation\, with targeted outreach to women in science\, technology\, engineering\, and environmental fields. \n\nTARGET AUDIENCE\nGreenPath focuses on young people in Greater Accra who are seeking: \n\nGreen job opportunities\nInternship placements\nProfessional mentorship and career guidance\n\nSpecial priority will be given to: \n\nFirst-generation professionals\nYouth from low-income households\nRecent graduates who may not yet have strong professional networks in the green economy\n\nThe mentorship component of this programme is specifically designed to support these groups. \n\nWHAT TO EXPECT\nParticipants in the programme can expect: \n\nA full-day Green Career Fair featuring organizations from renewable energy companies\, environmental consultancies\, government agencies\, green construction firms\, and sustainability-focused NGOs. Participants will have the opportunity to meet employers and learn what they look for in candidates.\nThree practical career skills workshops held throughout the day:\n\nWorkshop 1: CV writing for the green economy\nWorkshop 2: Interview preparation\nWorkshop 3: Professional networking skills\n\n\nMentorship matching opportunities: Participants can complete an application form during the event (or pre-register online) to be matched with a volunteer mentor in their field of interest.
